Its truly great to see a website dedicated to the View.
My family migrated to the states over 30 years ago.
It would truly be great if I were able to reconnect with friends with whom I grew up with.
We resided at 19 Dolphin Square until June of 1974. This site is truly a good medium.
As they say "keep doing what you do". Blessed.

Its wonderful to see that a community that has been around for years still continue to grow,
and is very much a community that has produced a multi cultural group of people that has
been successful. The original people of Harbour View have shown on this website
that our memories will never be forgotten and our childhood will remain with us forever.

Thanks for your feedback, the original plans for the website is as you stated, to celebrate the achievements of all members of our community.

      We have send out several requests asking for pictures and or articles about successful members of our community, but as you have seen the only response is about Football/HVFC.

      I'm  wide open to your offer to provide the webmaster with pictures and articles on successful members of our community, I can guarantee you they will be posted on the website

I detect a strong leaning to football and HVFC on this website.
I can understand that as it is an institution that binds us.
It would be good though, if we could do some research to find the HVers who are excelling in their many fields.
Coming to mind is Karl Blackwood who has been working in Silicon Valley as one of the stalwarts there. Seems Dorado Drive,
now Donald Quarrie Drive, produced a lot of good people.
Admiral Peter Brady from the same street. He became Chief of Staff of the JDF and is now Head of Jamaica's Maritime Authority.
Capt Las Samms, formerly of the JDF and Air Jamaica, recently went to Vietnam to fly and now in Saudi Arabia I believe.
His sister Dr. Maureen Samms Vaughan; a stalwart in Jamaica's medical fraternity in the field of research into children's issues.
Dr Sonia Copeland, member of the Quarantine Authority Board, helping to keep Jamaica free of new strains of viruses.
Not to mention those in the Diaspora who are making us so proud.
